Lora Jones
Correspondent, presenter, writer
Hello! I'm Lora Jones, an award-winning journalist, presenter and writer, focussing on investigations and consumer affairs.
I'm currently the Consumer Affairs Correspondent at the Daily Telegraph. My investigations on Amazon, Shein, Buy Now, Pay Later, spray foam insulation and TikTok debt advisors have prompted regulatory change. I've presented and produced documentaries for BBC Panorama, BBC Three and BBC R4, winning the Wincott Award for Best Video Journalism and MHP 30 Under 30 for 'Surviving the Pay Squeeze' and 'The Dark Side of Direct Sales'.
I've interviewed high-profile figures, from Robbie Williams to the mother of Brianna Ghey. I've also presented for a range of formats, including BBC Travel and BBC Click, and regularly appear as a consumer expert and discuss my original investigations on BBC and ITV programmes.
Throughout my career, I've prioritised stories affecting younger women in particular, something I am very proud of. My series of exclusives on the abusive headteacher Neil Foden broke new ground and relied on the testimony of survivors that I built crucial relationships with.
I am also a Senior Fellow for the John Schofield Trust, and speak at student conferences, providing career advice for those breaking into the journalism industry.
I'm currently working on my debut novel, and in my spare time I love going to the theatre. There is no such thing as too much Sondheim in my book. I'm also a fiercely proud Welsh woman / Cymraes.
